Shane Anderson

Shane began carving greenstone alongside his father, Paul, who passed on the skills and craftsmanship needed to create specialised larger carvings such as mere, adze, and one-off sculptures.

Shane is highly conscientious about the finer details in every piece he works on and takes pride in ensuring a perfect finish.

He draws creative inspiration from both traditional and contemporary tattoo design, which is often reflected in the flowing forms and stylised elements within his pounamu carvings.
