Moko Pounamu is a Christchurch-based pounamu studio and showroom founded in 2000 by master carver Deane Moreton. With over 30 years' experience in sourcing and handcrafting genuine New Zealand greenstone, Deane continues a family legacy that began with his father, Alf Moreton, who established the Hokitika Jade Company and helped shape the modern pounamu industry in Aotearoa.

The showroom and workshop at 340 Durham Street North, Christchurch features handcrafted pounamu sourced from Te Tai Poutini (the West Coast of the South Island), genuine whale bone and cow bone carvings, silver and gold jewellery, and large-scale sculptural taonga. Deane personally designs and creates many pieces, and works with a team of skilled carvers based across the South Island and beyond. The collection spans traditional Māori forms including hei tiki, hei matau, koru, pikorua, toki, and manaia, as well as contemporary designs.

Moko Pounamu ships throughout New Zealand and internationally, and has created bespoke corporate taonga for client organisations including Z Energy and NZ Thoroughbred Racing.
