Beautifully layered Inanga pounamu forms this distinctive toki with tiki carving, displaying soft green tones transitioning into warm golden hues throughout the stone. Natural banding and earthy veining move across the surface, creating depth and character that tells the story of the stone’s formation. The polished finish enhances the gentle translucency and unique colour variations, showcasing the organic beauty that makes Inanga pounamu so treasured.

Toki(Adze) – The Toki had much meaning for the Maori, fashioned from stone or greenstone it was an essential tool for survival and day to day life for the Maori. That is the reason Maori attribute the spiritual meaning of strength and power to the Toki. This symbol resembles determination, control, strength, focus and honour.

Inanga – This pounamu takes its name from a freshwater fish native to New Zealand. It is pale and often transparent, like the young of the Inanga fish. It is pearly white to grey green in colour, and ranges from translucent to quite opaque. It can change colour over time, developing a light olive tint as it ages and oxidises - Highly prized by the Māori and the desired material for making Mere and Patu.
