Before my trip to New Zealand, I did a great deal of research on the Pounamu jewelry. I found Moko store and it was always the best. Located in Christchurch, which was our first stop of our long journey through the country. Rarely does anyone buy all gifts for themselves and others at the first of many shops throughout their trip. I was so taken by the beauty and craftsmanship of Moko pieces that I did buy two fabulous necklaces and a pair of earrings. I was in a quandary whether to buy the rest of the pieces I saw but decided to wait and visit different shops as we traveled to dozens of other towns and cities. Maybe I would find better jewelry during our drive north. We visited numerous stores on our travels but not one had the beautiful stones and the finest craftsmanship as Moko. As we were not returning to Christchurch I was so disappointed that I had not purchased the remaining gift for my daughter. I called Moko 10 days later and spoke with the lovely saleswoman we had dealt with and told her I wanted to buy another necklace and earrings for my daughter. Miranda had such wonderful taste, I asked her to pick the pieces for me. I trusted her completely. Not only did she pick the perfect jewelry but had them sent to our hotel in Auckland. The package arrived before we did! I cannot put into words my respect, gratitude and kindness I received from the entire staff at Moko. Truly the very best in New Zealand. I was very happy with my recent purchase from Moko Pounamu. I live in the USA but am from NZ and wanted a pounamu ring to give to my girlfriend as an engagement ring. I found a really nice looking one on their website, with Kawakawa pounamu set in silver. Through some skullduggery I was able to find out my girlfriend's ring size and told the person on the Moko Pounamu chat session what it was. US and NZ use different ring size systems, so it was a little bit tricky, but Moko Pounamu got it just right. It arrived really quickly (within about 5 or 6 days) and was nicely gift-wrapped. I used it to propose to my girlfriend and she said yes! She really loves the ring!
