See you at Fieldays 2026!
A First for Moko Pounamu at a National Icon
The countdown to the Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural event has officially begun. For the first time, Moko Pounamu will be exhibiting at the National Fieldays at Mystery Creek, and we would love to see you there.
We are thrilled to announce that Deane and Louise from Moko Pounamu will be on the ground at Stand RM69C in the Rural Living Indoor exhibition area, bringing the timeless beauty of authentic pounamu to the heart of rural Aotearoa.
And even better, for the first time, we will also have the stunning Te Puhoro trophy (pictured below) on display so you can see it in person. This has been an amazing collaborative project with NZ Bloodstock, Moko Pounamu and Frontal Lobe.
For over half a century, the National Fieldays has stood as a true mega‑event for New Zealand – a place where the primary industries, global agribusiness, and local communities all come together.
With more than 1,200 exhibitors showcasing everything from cutting‑edge agritech and heavy machinery to artisan food and lifestyle products, Fieldays offers an unrivalled opportunity to connect.
This year, Moko Pounamu is proud to join that line‑up and share our taonga with the wider rural whānau.
Where to Find Us: Rural Living Indoor
You will find us tucked inside the popular Rural Living Indoor marquee. This spacious indoor exhibition space offers excellent foot traffic and a warm, inviting atmosphere – perfect for taking a moment to browse, ask questions, and feel the mauri (life force) of the stone.
The marquee is part of Fieldays’ dedicated Rural Living area, which brings together everything for the rural home, lifestyle block, and the great outdoors.
Deane and Louise will be on hand at Stand RM69C throughout the event (as well as mingling with the other stallholders and attendees), ready to welcome you, share stories about our carvings, and help you find the perfect piece of pounamu for yourself, your whānau, or your business.
Gifting Pounamu to International Customers and Suppliers
The National Fieldays draws an increasingly international crowd. Alongside domestic farmers and buyers, the event welcomes business delegations from around the world – with 43 official delegations and 23 embassies attending in 2025 alone. It is a truly global meeting place.
For rural businesses that deal with overseas clients, suppliers, or partners, a gift of pounamu carries mana that few other gifts can match. A pounamu taonga speaks of New Zealand’s unique heritage, its natural beauty, and the strength of its people. It is a conversation starter, a token of genuine appreciation, and a lasting reminder of the relationship you have built.
Whether you are looking for a single sculpture or a bulk order of pendants to share with your whole global supply chain, the team at Moko Pounamu can help.
We offer:
Sculptures and Carvings – from desktop pieces to large, show‑stopping works
Pendants and Jewellery – suitable for both men and women
Bespoke Touches – custom plaques, branded packaging, and information cards that explain the story and meaning behind each piece.
The Mana of Pounamu in a Rural Context
There is a deep resonance between pounamu and the rural way of life. Both are shaped by the land (whenua) and water (wai). Both demand patience, skill, and respect. And both carry stories that stretch back through generations.
Deane Moreton, our founder, learnt his craft on the South Island’s West Coast, alongside his father, renowned carver and pounamu miner Alfred Moreton, and brings over 30 years of experience to every piece he creates. When you meet us at Fieldays, you are meeting people who live and breathe this stone – who understand that a gift of pounamu is never just a transaction. It is an act of connection.
