Toki (Adze) – The Toki had much meaning for Māori, fashioned from stone or greenstone, it was an essential tool for survival and day to day life. This is the reason Māori attribute the spiritual meaning of strength and power to the Toki. This symbol resembles determination, control, strength, focus and honour.
Hand carved by Moko Workshops
Sizes: Large Toki 48mm long x 33mm wide x 7mm thick; Smaller Toki 45mm long x 26mm wide x 7mm thick (approximately - each carving is handcrafted and will differ slightly)
This is an example of the carvings you will receive. You will not receive these exact pieces, but ones that are similar. This is due to each Toki being carved from natural Greenstone where the colouring will differ depending on the elements in the stone.
