Hand carved from genuine Hapopo Pounamu sourced from New Zealand’s West Coast, this Toki Adze pendant reflects strength, leadership, and determination. Traditionally worn as a symbol of authority and courage, the elongated toki form represents focus and the ability to carve one’s own path. The stone displays rich, layered greens with natural clouding and earthy inclusions that make each piece entirely unique. Bound in a traditional-style cord and finished with clean, strong lines, this substantial pendant carries both presence and meaning.
Toki/Adze – The Toki had much meaning for the Māori, fashioned from stone or greenstone it was an essential tool for survival and day to day life for the Māori. That is the reason Māori attribute the spiritual meaning of strength and power to the Toki. This symbol represents Mana, determination, control, strength, focus and honour.
Hapopo- Genuine West Coast Greenstone. It's colour ranges from medium green to a dark forest green with a unique mottled texture. The name originating from Kā Umu o Hapopo (Big Bay) which is in Poutini ki te toka (South Westland).
