Carver: Westland Greenstone

This Hapopo Toki showcases a striking blend of deep forest greens, smoky charcoal tones, and subtle natural inclusions that tell the story of the stone's formation over countless years. The polished surface reveals a rich, organic pattern unique to this piece, with soft translucency appearing in lighter green areas when viewed in natural light. Bound in a traditional black cord, the toki has a strong, balanced presence that reflects resilience, determination, and connection to the whenua. Every angle reveals different shades and textures, making this a distinctive taonga that carries both beauty and individuality.

Together, the binding and the stone create a piece that is as visually powerful as it is culturally significant.
