This beautifully carved Peka Peka design blends flowing organic shapes with traditional symbolism, creating a piece that represents balance, harmony, and protection. The symmetrical form reflects unity and connection, while the open carving allows light to pass through the stone, enhancing its natural beauty.

The addition of elements softens the strength of the Peka Peka form, symbolising growth, renewal, and the unfolding journey of life. The natural Kawakawa colouring adds depth and character, making each pendant entirely unique.

Often gifted as a symbol of protection or to mark an important life journey, this carving represents guidance, strength, and connection.

Designed to be worn close to the heart, this Flower Peka Peka carries deep meaning and enduring presence.

Peka Peka is a very old Māori Design representing a Native NZ bat, it is often classed as a Manaia, which are traditionally believed to be the messenger between the earthly world of mortals and the domain of the spirits, and its symbol is used as a guardian against evil.

Kawakawa- is the most common variety of Pounamu. it comes in many shades - from strong, rich green to dark green - and often has small dark flecks, which add to its character. Named after the leaf of the Kawakawa. It is the main type used in gem purposes.
