This contemporary pendant is carved from genuine Hapopo Pounamu sourced from the West Coast of New Zealand. The sculptural flowing design highlights the natural beauty of the stone, with vibrant green tones and subtle darker inclusions running through the stone. The organic shape gives the piece a modern artistic feel while still celebrating the timeless character of natural pounamu. Suspended on a traditional cord, each carving is completely unique, shaped by the patterns formed within the stone over thousands of years.
Hapopo- Genuine West Coast Greenstone. It's colour ranges from medium green to a dark forest green with a unique mottled texture. The name originating from Kā Umu o Hapopo (Big Bay) which is in Poutini ki te toka (South Westland).
