Moko Pounamu Koru NZ Rhodonite & Sterling Silver Earrings - Horotiu
This stunning collection features exquisite Koru earrings handcrafted New Zealand from Rhodonite and set with Sterling Silver hooks. The simplistic design compliments each piece and lets the stone speak for itself.
Koru- The Maori word for bright or loop. It refers to the shoots of the silver fern. The circular movement to the inner core refers to "going back to the beginnings". The unfurling frond itself is symbolic for new life, new beginnings, hope, personal growth, purity nurturing, a new phase in life, the spirit of rejuvenation and peace.
Rhodonite- a wonderful pink coloured manganese silicate mineral found South of Akatore Creek, Otago. This mineral has long been sort after by rockhounds and others for carving & jewellery making. A powerful healing stone for relationships, the Rhodonite crystal encourages clear communication, the lifeline for a strong and healthy union. Its energy opens the heart up to emotional healing.
