In Māori and wider Polynesian culture, the turtle (Honu) is a sacred symbol representing longevity, wellness, and fertility. They are revered as navigators and protectors of the sea, often symbolising the journey of life, endurance, and unity. Turtles also embody wisdom, patience, and the connection between humans and nature.
