Hand carved from genuine Kawakawa Pounamu, this striking Hei Tiki showcases the rich, deep green tones that have made this variety of New Zealand jade one of the most treasured. Its smooth, glossy finish reveals subtle natural variations within the stone, ensuring every piece is completely unique.

The carver has given this Tiki a bold, contemporary character while honouring traditional Māori design. Strong facial features, flowing carved details and beautifully balanced proportions create a pendant that feels both timeless and full of personality. The polished surface invites touch, allowing the natural warmth of the pounamu to develop as it is worn.

The Hei Tiki is more than an ornament it is a taonga that represents identity, connection and the stories we carry through life. Whether chosen to celebrate a milestone, honour family, or simply because it speaks to you, this piece is designed to become part of your own journey.

Finished with an adjustable hand-braided cord, this pendant is ready to wear and crafted to be treasured for generations.

Hei Tiki- According to legend was the first man on Earth who originated from the stars. The first mortal person who created the first woman after his image. The exact meaning of the Tiki is disputed. There are several opinions but the most accepted are that the Tiki stands for fertility. Traditionally regarded as a good luck charm meant to keep evil spirits away.

Kawakawa- is the most common variety of Pounamu. it comes in many shades - from strong, rich green to dark green - and often has small dark flecks, which add to its character. Named after the leaf of the Kawakawa. It is the main type used in gem purposes.

Paua Shell – Abalone, our Paua shell is rich and deep in iridescent colours unique to New Zealand. Found all around the rocky shoreline coast but grows best in southern waters. Paua shell has been traditionally used by Maori to illuminate the eyes & features of carvings and artwork. While Paua sits within the abalone family, which is found in other parts of the world, namely, South America, Australia, Western North America, and Japan, our Paua's hidden, bright multi-coloured interior shell is only found in New Zealand.
