This pendant features a stunning piece of Raukaraka Pounamu framed in solid Sterling Silver. The stone has feathering gold tones through the olive-green base, all complemented by the beautiful satin finish. This simple design is capped off with a handcrafted bail and chain loop giving an industrial contemporary look and highlighting the beauty of the natural Greenstone.
Raukaraka- Genuine West Coast Greenstone from the Taramakau River Area. This is the term used by the Māori of the Cook Strait region of the Kawakawa variety that is streaked with a shade of olive green and has yellow and orange hues that blend into the greens. This stone shares its name with the New Zealand native Karaka tree.
