This Heart Pendant features a Kawakawa Pounamu cabochon framed in a Sterling Silver setting with an attached bail. The stone shows translucent green tones with natural variation. The clean, contemporary heart form brings gentle elegance, allowing the richness of the Greenstone to shine with refined clarity.
Kawakawa- is the most common variety of Pounamu. it comes in many shades - from strong, rich green to dark green - and often has small dark flecks, which add to its character. Named after the leaf of the Kawakawa. It is the main type used in gem purposes.
