This pendant features an oval cabochon of Kawakawa Pounamu framed in Sterling Silver, with a finely inscribed Fantail design worked directly into the surface of the stone. The deep green tones of the Kawakawa pair beautifully with the polished Silver frame and bail, giving the piece a bright, contemporary finish. A graceful pendant that blends natural warmth with delicate artistry.
Kawakawa- is the most common variety of Pounamu. it comes in many shades - from strong, rich green to dark green - and often has small dark flecks, which add to its character. Named after the leaf of the Kawakawa. It is the main type used in gem purposes.
