This pendant features a round cabochon of Kawakawa Pounamu framed in solid Sterling Silver. The stone shows rich green tones with natural features through the stone - complemented by the satin finished silver setting. The simple disc design gives the piece a refined, contemporary look, highlighting the beauty of the Greenstone with elegant clarity.
Kawakawa- is the most common variety of Pounamu. it comes in many shades - from strong, rich green to dark green - and often has small dark flecks, which add to its character. Named after the leaf of the Kawakawa. It is the main type used in gem purposes.
