Moko Pounamu Double Heart Genuine NZ Inanga Greenstone - Mangahoe
This gorgeous Double Heart pendant has been hand carved from Inanga Pounamu, displaying its milder deep green tones. The form is beautifully shaped with a heart cut-out at its centre, symbolising love and connection. A smooth polish enhances the stone’s depth and warmth – a graceful and meaningful taonga.
Heart pendants are a timeless symbol of aroha (love), connection and appreciation in all its forms, from friendship and family bonds to romantic and enduring love. A pounamu heart pendant is a meaningful gift for someone special and carries a message of affection and remembrance.
Inanga – This pounamu takes its name from a freshwater fish native to New Zealand. It is pale and often transparent, like the young of the Inanga fish. It is pearly white to grey green in colour, and ranges from translucent to quite opaque. It can change colour over time, developing a light olive tint as it ages and oxidises - Highly prized by the Māori and the desired material for making Mere and Patu.
