This stunning Kawakawa Pounamu and Sterling Silver drop pendant is handcrafted with a Greenstone cabochon set in a Silver cap and bail. The stone shows deep green hue and is cut with rounded edges, beautifully flowing from the Silver cap to the dark stone. With a contemporary touch, each material complements the other to make a pendant with balance and refined craftsmanship.
Kawakawa- is the most common variety of Pounamu. it comes in many shades - from strong, rich green to dark green - and often has small dark flecks, which add to its character. Named after the leaf of the Kawakawa. It is the main type used in gem purposes.
