My name is Samuel Ngaamo, and I am a carver and craftsman based in Arahura, Hokitika. For more than 20 years, I have dedicated myself to creating handcrafted pieces that are both meaningful and built to last.

My carving journey began with creating garden sculptures before progressing into memorial headstones. Since then, I have expanded my work to include wooden sculptures, handcrafted keepsake boxes, and a wide range of custom commissions. Every piece I create is unique, designed to reflect the story, memories, and vision of the people it is made for.

Working from my home workshop, I combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. Using CNC machining and laser engraving alongside hand-finishing techniques enables me to produce highly detailed, custom-made work while maintaining the individuality and quality that handcrafted pieces deserve.

At 43 years of age, I continue to build on my skills and explore new creative opportunities. My passion lies in producing artwork that is distinctive, personal, and crafted with care. Whether I am creating a memorial, sculpture, keepsake box, or another custom piece, my goal is to produce work that families and clients will treasure for generations.
