With a background in architectural design spanning 30 years, he brings a deep understanding of form, balance, and natural connection to his carving. His designs , whilst predominantly contemporary in nature, are influenced buy his deep respect for the cultural significance of pounamu, whilst taking inspiration from his connection with the land and a passion for ancient cultures, the envirnoment and the natural form
