Ana is a highly skilled carver, creating intricate, hand-carved Pounamu jewellery that speaks to the heart. As a member of Te Ātiawa, Ana’s work is deeply influenced by the legend that her people are descended from the sky. This belief shapes her creative philosophy—crafting pieces of great worth, making thoughtful choices, and continuously challenging herself to grow.

Ana has a rich background in design and education, with a passion for architecture and design. As a visual artist, she’s inspired by the lines and proportions found in both good architecture and nature. Her expertise spans multiple mediums—she is a furniture maker, product designer, painter, metalsmith, and jade carver. Her work reflects her journey of mastering different art forms, telling stories of her past, present, and future.
