This Toki is hand carved from Kahotea Pounamu, showing the beautiful tones and natural patterning of the stone. The base is shaped on a slight angle, giving the piece a clean contemporary touch, and the cord is passed through a drilled hole rather than traditionally bound. A refined pendant with grounded presence and quiet strength.

Toki/Adze – The Toki had much meaning for the Māori, fashioned from stone or greenstone it was an essential tool for survival and day to day life for the Māori. That is the reason Māori attribute the spiritual meaning of strength and power to the Toki. This symbol represents Mana, determination, control, strength, focus and honour.
