Moko Pounamu Toki Genuine NZ Kahotea Greenstone - Mokoroa
This Toki is hand carved from Kahotea Pounamu, showing deep earthy green tones with natural shifts across the stone. A harakeke-inspired pattern is carved into the lower section, adding texture and detail to the design. Finished with a smooth satin polish, it’s a distinctive pendant with grounded character and thoughtful detail.
Toki/Adze – The Toki had much meaning for the Māori, fashioned from stone or greenstone it was an essential tool for survival and day to day life for the Māori. That is the reason Māori attribute the spiritual meaning of strength and power to the Toki. This symbol represents Mana, determination, control, strength, focus and honour.
Kahotea – Pounamu from the Greenstone, West Coast area. A type streaked or flecked with white. The name Kahotea derives from Kaho, meaning light coloured tea (white or clear.)
