A wonderful Toki handcrafted from Kahotea Pounamu. This piece shows the beautiful cascades of lighter stone often seen with Kahotea Greenstone - a really wonderful pendant which will be treasured.
Toki(Adze) – The Toki had much meaning for the Maori, fashioned from stone or greenstone it was an essential tool for survival and day to day life for the Maori. That is the reason Maori attribute the spiritual meaning of strength and power to the Toki. This symbol resembles determination, control, strength, focus and honour.
Kahotea – Pounamu from the Greenstone, West Coast area. A type streaked or flecked with white. The name Kahotea derives from Kaho, meaning light coloured tea (white or clear).
