A fabulous Free-form drop from a magnificent piece of Kahotea Pounamu with 9ct gold finding. A wonderful design with amazing colours and movement in the stone, which truly enhances this wonderful carving.
Roimata/Drop- Named for their drop shape, they are widely regarded as touchstones in healing and meditation. They are often called a comfort stone and given to show sympathy and shared emotion. The drop pendants are also believed to represent a connection to the whenua (the land) Aotearoa (New Zealand).
Kahotea
– Pounamu from the Greenstone, West Coast area. A type streaked or flecked with white. The name Kahotea derives from Kaho, meaning light coloured tea (white or clear).
