Kintsugi
is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with urushi lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver or platinum. As a philosophy, it treats the breakage and repair as part of the history of the object, rather than something to disguise or discard. We have applied a similar method to the repair of pounamu. Gold and Pounamu are often found together so we are offering this service in gold only. While your pounamu won't be strong enough to wear, it will be preserved.
