An striking multi Koru sculpture wonderfully hand crafted from a stunning clear gem quality piece of Inanga stone and mounted onto a exquisite Inanga Flower Jade water worn stone. The beautifully rich colours of the base stone highlights the natural light grey-green of the Inanga carving. The smaller koru's could represent the close bond of the tamariki with the mother and other members of the whanau.
Koru - The Maori word for bright or loop. It refers to the shoots of the silver fern. The circular movement to the inner core refers to "going back to the beginnings". The unfurling frond itself is symbolic for new life, new beginnings, hope, personal growth, purity nurturing, a new phase in life, the spirit of rejuvenation and peace.
